Luciano's Ristorante - Chagrin Falls, Ohio (Cleveland)

Chef / Instructor: Luciano Scalera

Italian born Luciano perfected his art of cooking in Northern Italy acquiring skill that reflects a centuries long tradition of fine eating.  Using the freshest of ingredients, and a deft hand with seasonings, Luciano creates meals that evoke the sunny skies, rocky hillsides and blue seas of Italy.  The delicate sauces and subtle flavors evoke gentle star filled evenings.  The meal that he will prepare is an event to be savored and lingered over with friends and family.

            Luciano received his professional training in Milano Italy finest restaurants.  Including Ristorante La Forca where he focused on the main course specialties of Piedmont and Tuscany, at Serrafino where he mastered the art of creating the pasta dishes of central Italy as well as the delightful risottos found in the northern regions, and at Ottavio in whose kitchen he learned the secrets of great Florentine cooking.  Luciano also prepared Spa cuisine in Switzerland and Southern Germany.

            Immigrating to the United States in 1970, Luciano refined his knowledge of American habits and tastes as head chef in some of Cleveland's favorite eateries, notably Giovanni's and the Union Club.  In 1980, Luciano opened Luciano's Ristorante and brought to this Eastern suburb the complex, sophisticated and altogether delightful cuisine of Tuscany.  He has won numerous awards for his culinary expertise.

            Luciano Scalera, chef/owner of Luciano's in Bainbridge, Ohio is holding culinary technique instruction in authentic Italian cuisine.  Chef Luciano will share his secrets of the art of cooking.  Classes are held generally the third Saturdays of the month.  We feature cigar nights, six course wine dinners, European escorted tours.  Call us at 440.543.2111 for the exact schedule.


 Luciano's Ristorante, lunch is by reservation only and dinner is served Monday through Saturday, reservations are suggested.  Al fresco dining is available on our award winning garden-patio (weather permitting).
